 Emuna Syrkin

“Behold, Like clay in the potter’s hands, expanded or contracted at will, so are we in Your hand…”

Emuna has always been fascinated by clay as a raw material. Through the rhythm of wheel-throwing objects are created, with both inside and outside. Their shapes are simple with an emphasis on design, form and colour.

Emuna grew up in Haifa and is a graduate of Industrial Design from the Bezalel Academy, Jerusalem.

She learned pottery under the tutelage of wonderful artists and opened a studio in her own home.

For the last 15 years she’s been working at the Givat Haviva Centre for Ceramic Art, assisting with the firing of the gas kiln and developing glazes.
